Release date: July 10th, 2025
PCM 39 is now available for PC*Miler Web
Routing enhancements
Estimated travel time enhancements
Improvements to estimated travel time (ETT) have been made by reviewing truck ping data, resulting in an overall average increase to estimated travel times. Additional details regarding the improvements can be found here.
Improved site boundary routing
Improvements to routing near site boundaries have been made to help prevent incorrect road closures and avoidances around un-gated site boundary intersections.
The image below shows an example of the improved routing where the red line is the original route path, and the green line indicates the revised route path. In this case, a site boundary was encroaching on the highway, causing the routing algorithm to avoid the site boundary and redirect the route on an unintended path.
Sites include a boundary polygon around their perimeter and allow for the inclusion of detailed information regarding entry and exit points (gates), vehicle restrictions, accessible hours, and other important information. Improvements to the precision of these site boundaries will result in more accurate routing near site locations. You can read more about using Sites in PC*Miler here.
Revised hazmat tunnel designations
To improve safety and efficiency, hazmat tunnel designations have been updated to provide more precision and control when routing. Full details on how hazmat routing is handled in PC*Miler can be found here.
Improved routing in Kentucky
Improved weight limit routing in Kentucky to better reflect weight limit restrictions on state-maintained highways while allowing for local accessibility.

- 794 new construction road projects were added.
- Over 16,000 new POIs were added to the Places Database.
- Over 17,000 new site locations were coded, including distribution centers, retail storefronts, manufacturing plant, and truck stops and service centers.

- Truck through-travel restrictions were updated within over 350 city limits and outlying regions.
- More than 18,500 customer-reported issues were reviewed and fixed.
For more details, please see our North America map data release notes. (PC*Miler 39 includes all of the map data updates starting at Q2.1 2024 and ending with Q2 2025.)
Toll enhancements

- Introduced data for the new NYC Congestion Relief Zone toll system.
Bug fixes and other improvements
- Fixed a rare issue where discounted toll costs were not calculated correctly when generating specific routes.
- As with each PC*Miler version, route costs and currency conversion rates have been updated. Rates used for PCM 39 can be found here.
Using PC*Miler 39
If you are a legacy Standard subscriber, PC*Miler 39 map data and routing software are used for all calculations. (Standard is no longer available for new subscribers.)
If you are a Premium subscriber, PC*Miler Web defaults to Current data. Current always has the most up-to-date road maps and routing software, making it ideal for route planning. The standardized “numbered” annual version releases are mostly used by shippers and carriers when generating distances for freight rating and billing. It helps ensure they are generating the same PC*Miler distances for the same trucking lanes, and that distances match those returned by our installed “on premise” versions of PC*Miler.

New Features
- App version numbering has been added to PC*Miler Web with this release. Your current version can now be found in the bottom-left corner of the window. When contacting support or submitting a new ticket, including your current app version number will help in identifying and/or replicating your issue with the ultimate goal of providing you with faster case resolutions.
- A notification banner has been added to PC*Miler Web for special announcements and major releases. The banner can be found directly above the blue PC*Miler header. The banner will be displayed for a set number of days and provide links to additional information, depending on the specific notification.
Enhancements
- In an effort to provide more direct contact to support, the support links within PC*Miler Web have been updated.
- The Help & Support icon in the top-right corner of the window has remained the same. Select this icon to open the PC*Miler Web Support page.
- The Contact Support link in the bottom-right corner of the window now redirects to the Submit a ticket page within PC*Miler Web Support. You can now use this link to directly submit a ticket to support without needing to navigate through the support site.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed and issue reported by some users where a saved route with no stops would result in the Open Saved Route window not displaying saved routes correctly.
- Fixed the Allow Intl. Border Crossing setting within Route Options so it now defaults to TRUE for users in the EU region. This is especially valuable to EU customers where route optimization is often greatly improved when international border crossing is turned on.
- Optimized loading times when opening the Reports pane in a separate window.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed various issues where using the web browser print function or Ctrl+P could result in an incorrect or blank image appearing in print preview. These functions have been corrected and print preview now shows a screenshot identical to what you are actively viewing in PC*MILER Web.
Note: The Print Map icon that appears in the toolbar along the right hand side of the map pane remains unchanged. This feature is intended to only print the current map image that you are viewing. Any route traces or map layers that you have selected are included in the map image.
- Fixed an issue where the Apply Traffic toggle within the Arrive/Depart dropdown window was not being saved after switching the toggle on and selecting Set. The toggle setting is now saved after selecting Set and is retained on a per route basis (you must turn this toggle on and save the settings for each new route you create).

Route costs customization
Route costs can now be set to $0.00 for simplified cost calculations when creating and saving a route. Saved routes will retain the route cost settings that were set when the route was initially saved. Route costs are changed within the Application Settings tab > Route Costs fields. Route costs are retained for your user profile and are saved for future log-ins. For additional information on how to set route costs, click here.
Improved Arrive/Depart time entry
Arrival and departure time entry has been updated to give you the ability to select a time using your mouse in addition to the existing keyboard inputs. To set an arrival/departure time using a mouse, select the time field and use the directional arrows to set the hour and minute values. Then, select the AM or PM button to switch between AM and PM.

New Features
When requesting a route report for a specific version of PC*Miler Web, the report and route path now reflect the selected version. Previously, only the report reflected the selected version while the route path defaulted to the current version. This would occasionally result in situations where the route path did not fully align with the report data due to roadway changes or updates to the PC*Miler routing algorithm.
Example
Resulting path of a route report using current version:
Resulting path of the same route report using version 37:
Note: The map itself will always show the current layout of roadways and intersections. As a result, there will be instances where a previous version's route path does not align with the roadways displayed in the current map version. This outcome should be expected as the goal is to show the original route path of the selected version.
Enhancements
Routing Profile field
- Search functionality has been added to the Routing Profile dropdown field. The dropdown field displays results based on user input text. If no relevant profile is found, the dropdown field displays a "No Results Found" message.
- A Create Vehicle Routing Profile button now appears in the dropdown field if no custom profiles have been created. Select this button to open the Vehicle Routing Profiles tab and create a custom profile by following the custom profile setup process.
Route reports
Similar to the legacy version of PC*Miler Web, route reports now open in a separate window when the Reports button is selected for a specific route. This gives users the ability to compare multiple route reports at a time and move the report window to prevent it from obstructing the displayed route path on the map.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where editing a previously saved route would result in the route being duplicated instead of replaced.
- Fixed an issue where using the Portuguese language version of PC*Miler Web would result in the incorrect time notation. Time stamps are now standardized to display the AM/PM notation for all languages.
- Corrected a behavior in custom routing profiles where opening a profile and not performing any edits would mistakenly enable the Save button and trigger an “Unsaved Changes” warning when selecting Done.
- Improved route optimization to ensure stops reflect the correct order after reordering.
